Nigel is Chief Innovation Officer at the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a global NGO transforming the global business system through the power of information. CDP works on behalf of 551 institutional investors, representing assets under management of over $71 trillion, to engage with over 8000 of the world’s largest corporations on the business implications of climate change and water scarcity. Nigel is responsible for CDP’s technical roadmap and IT systems, including major partnerships with Accenture, SAP, Microsoft and Bloomberg as well as for driving CDP’s ambitious program of innovation which has recently included new programs in Supply Chain, Water disclosure and Cities. Nigel also acts as CDP’s representative on the Climate Disclosure Standards Board and the Climate Bonds Standards Board.
Prior to joining CDP, Nigel spent 18 years in the manufacturing sector, most recently as a member of the MBO team and Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for a global automotive component manufacturing company.
Nigel has extensive international experience, having worked in Spain, the USA, Germany and the UK at various times in his career. He also has significant experience in emerging markets, having led projects in Brazil, India and China.
